CHICAGO (July 7, 2025) – Chicago Fire FC II and MLS NEXT Pro today announced Chicago Fire Academy goalkeeper Patrick Los has been named MLS NEXT Rising Star of Matchweek 17 following his performance in a 1-0 shutout win over Chattanooga FC on Saturday, July 5.

Los, 17, received his first league honor of 2025 after posting his third shutout of the season in Chicago Fire II’s 1-0 victory over second-place Chattanooga FC on Saturday. The Chicago Fire Academy standout made six saves, including a key stop in the 83rd minute that denied the hosts the equalizer. His effort in goal made forward Jason Shokalook’s 52nd minute strike be all the Fire needed to record their seventh win of the year and third on the road, holding on to fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

The honor is Los’ third personal award of his career in MLS NEXT Pro, having won the league’s Goalkeeper of the Month award for the months of March and June in 2024. The goalkeeper is currently tied with New York Red Bulls II netminder Aidan Stokes for first place in most penalty kicks saved with three this season, while also ranking fifth in saves made with 51 in 15 matches. This also marks the fourth honor of any kind for Chicago Fire II in 2025, having been named the MLS NEXT Pro Team of the Matchweek three times, most recently on Matchweek 16.

Chicago Fire FC II will host New England Revolution II for the second time this season on Sunday, July 13 at SeatGeek Stadium. First kick in Bridgeview is set for 1:00 p.m. CT. Admission is free for all fans, and the match will be streamed on MLSNEXTPro.com.
