Chicago Fire FC II returns to the Sunshine State to face Orlando City B following a 1-1 draw and shootout victory at Inter Miami CF II on Feb. 27.

Chicago opened the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro regular season with a primetime matchup against Miami. The hosts scored first, but Chicago responded four minutes later, when Dylan Borso carried the ball up the left flank toward the endline, sending it square toward the top of the box for Damyan Villanueva. The Academy winger found Trip Fleming, who didn’t hesitate to strike for his first goal of the season. In the ensuing shootout, goalkeeper Owen Pratt made a diving stop to end the night and pick up the Fire's first two points of 2026.

Orlando opened the season with a Monday night showdown against Huntsville City FC on March 2 in Central Florida. Former Orlando midfielder Shak Mohammed struck first against his old side, before the visitors doubled the lead. Winger Harvey Sarajian cut the deficit to 2-1 going into halftime, but Mohammed scored again in familiar territory to give his new side a 3-1 road victory.

Sunday's match will be the eighth between Chicago and Orlando all-time, and the first in Kissimmee since 2024. Orlando has a 4-2-1-1 lead in the series, but lost the last matchup 5-1 in CFII's only home match at UIC Flames Field.
