CHICAGO, Ill. (November 25, 2013) – The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced Monday that the club has waived goalkeeper Paolo Tornaghi and will not pick up the option on Egidio Arevalo Rios. 
    The Fire signed Tornaghi on March 8, 2012. Over the course of two seasons, the Italian ‘keeper appeared in nine matches for the Men in Red, making 26 saves and earned one shutout en route to a 3-4-2 record.
    Rios joined the Fire from Italian side Palermo on Aug. 14, 2013. The Uruguayan midfielder started all nine matches in which he appeared for the Fire.
    Tornaghi is now eligible for selection in the MLS Waiver Draft to be held on Monday, Nov. 25.
