CHICAGO (November 20, 2025)āÆā Chicago Fire FC today released its 2026 MLS regular season schedule with a video titled āMike Magee Skips Schedule Release,ā a nostalgic celebration of the 40th anniversary of an iconic Chicago-based film.
Featuring Chicago soccer legend and 2013 MLS MVP Mike Magee, the new video takes fans on a modern-day journey around town, offering a fresh twist on a classic Chicago adventure. Easter eggs appear throughout the scenes, including fan-favorite spots, celebrity cameos, and team supporter appearances ā all leading up to the reveal of The Fireās 2026 schedule.

Filmed on location at several recognizable sites including The Art Institute of Chicago and Wrigley Field, āMike Magee Skips Schedule Releaseā features surprise cameos from local personalities including celebrity chef and Food Network co-host Jeff Mauro; Chicago Fire Director of Football and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter; current Chicago Fire players Omar Gonzalez, Sam Rogers, Andrew Gutman, and Jonathan Dean; Chicago Fire legends Magee and former midfielder Drew Conner; former Chicago Stars legend Yuki Nagasato; and soccer journalists Tim Hotze (MenInRed97 Media) and Joe Chatz.
The video also features local professional mascots including Chicago Fireās own Sparky, Chicago Stars FCās Supernova, The Chicago Skyās Skye the Lioness, and Jewel-Oscoās JoJo; and scenes filmed at popular Chicago Fire venues including the clubās newly opened Endeavor Health Performance Center, 2nd Star Tavern at the Endeavor Health Fire Pitch, and The 78 ā site of the clubās recently announced privately-funded, soccer-specific stadium.
